Nobody would care if their families had just gotten a say first

The problem was that they were almost executed to order to fill a need for organs. Would notifying the families beforehand be much better? It is not as if the legal process is 100% anywhere to be sure of convictions in many situations.

That's what I meant; it wouldn't even be a story otherwise, frankly.

The real problem is that when they execute the prisoners the organs end up being hocked around private hospitals the world over.
