Just had the single most retarded day at work since I got this bloody job.

When it's not people forgetting how to do things that they taught me, or having to tell someone how to check the result of a scheduled task, or people not being able to take a copy of a data dictionary, or the fact that half of management are on holiday and the other half are off-site, it's me taking 5 minutes to find a problem that 10 other people have spent two man-weeks looking at. If only there was a way for a program to record what it did - you could call it logging - and write it to a document on the server - you could call it a log file.

Oh and then there's the glorious combination of Windows 7, IIS7, Remote Desktop, TestComplete, IE9 and Silverlight. When objects aren't vanishing or plain being weird, the name mapping just ups and changes itself. And I'm supposed to be writing an automated test harness for this useless bag of w@nk. Oh and the lead developer just left on sabattical for at least 14 months.

But that's okay - the same management that have waltzed off are still sending me sh!t-o-grams asking why the test harness isn't finished.

Just make sure you've filled your TPS reports on time and used the correct form. :D

And definitely make sure you have a cover sheet on your TPS report.

A 226 Mb patch for God of War: Ascension. On Sony's ridiculously slow network. I think I'll just watch a film after this as it's gonna need to install the actual gametoo

EDIT - And that's just the first patch! We're now in the process of downloading a 625 Mb job... I mean just how friggin' broken was the game when they released it?!

FURTHER EDIT - Currently on a 644 Mb patch, with apparently two more to go.

FURTHER FURTHER EDIT - 907 Mb patch now. Can you imagine how long it would take to download this entire game? And I'm on an ethernet cable here.

And once again my father is pretending that topping up the electric via any means other than a shop is some sort of travesty... If I knew where the card was I'd do it myself. Control freak, fcuked-up spastic :x

That is the most expensive way of paying for electricity.

I've no idea, but I do know even the app gives you 2.5% off!

That is an improvement, especially on prepay meters.

Downloaded the PowerNI app to cut the nonsense outta my da, £15 minimum top-up it wants. You can stick a fiver in as the minimum any other way. But if you spend £50 you get a whole pound off!

And the stupidity continues... My dad has two printers (don't even ask), only there's not a drop of ink in either of them, and I need to return an utterly broken PS3 game.
