Yet the eye cannot determine resolutions any greater than 300 dpi so it is all a waste of power. A smaller screen looks good enough already.

That phone has the same pixel count then as the 27" display I'm sitting in front of now.

None. Once you have reached retina levels then any improvements are simple tech willy waving between manufacturers.

I thought BluRay was 1080p, in which case the Galaxy s4 and the htc One are also BluRay quality - all the BluRay discs I have are encoded in 1080p..

Is the "Jobs Distance" convertible into mm?

6 foot under is about 1800mm isn't it?

Point of order. We are taking about Pixels Per Inch, so PPI is the correct term to use here. DPI is Dots Per Inch, which is a printing measurement where ink dots a used to represent colour using overlying screens of dots.
