IIRC, they've to pay the gun companies for 'use' of their weapons :?

They should they are a commercial company. A documentary about the US military might not have been charged but they may have asked. With the budgets of games it would not be unreasonable to demand royalties especially if the games feature another companies products. It is one reason why the aircraft in som films look vaguely like genuine aircraft but not identical because of copyright issues.

EA reasoned that a film about the U.S. military doesn't have to pay royalities to Textron for using its aircraft, so why must a video game? The question appeared to probe the new boundaries of video games as protected works of free expression, a designation explicitly made by the Supreme Court in mid-2011.

I guess if you use an aircraft in a live action film then the company has already profited from the construction, sale and maintenance. As long as it wasn't CG of course.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I think I those cases the film includes credits to thank the aircraft company at least.

There's no quicker way for me to go through a shoe sale than to click 'size 13' and watch my options disappear :(

I have found that on other items sold and you enter a colour and find out that it has sold out.

Mica Paris had some fantastic curves on TV this morning. I think she's pretty tall IIRC, but the guy beside her must have been titchy too - it made her look even better

Part of the Acer badge on the back of my tablet just flew off when I touched it - can't say I'm pleased, especially since the tablet hasn't seen any abuse or even much use :(

My laptop is almost 6 years old and the logo still has the protective film on it. ;)

That's pretty normal build quality for Acer, isn't it?! We had an Acer laptop at work and bits were always dropping off it - keys, DVD tray facia, battery, you name it!
