I could maybe see it being good for immersion in particular types of gaming, but not in general tbh.

While OLED is a great technology with amazing colours it just cannot see the reasoning for curved screens. As the article says it might be because no other technology can do it. As we sit on either side of the TV - we have two sofas facing each other, about 3 metres apart, set at a slight angle, with the TV off to one side in the middle - it wouldn't make any sense here.

I suspect for far too many people it would require a complete change in living room layouts. Just because you can do a curved screen does not mean that you should. I suspect more a matter of clearing all the surplus stock. It could make insurance interesting if you have a car that is self driving so no risk of bad drivers getting behind the wheel.
