Oh how I'm not bothered about the glazing industry in Singapore. Got to write a whole page on it though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Customs put your name on a list - I've just had the second batch of t-shirts stopped by them, with a totally arbitrary lower figure quoted than previously

It seems I've got a worse chance than average when it comes to them :x

I suspect that they and the government are getting more desperate for cash so sting the customer who buys from abroad.

Just checked the dates, it's a lot likelier that the charges are for an Amazon order from the US, which is even more fcuked up cos you definitely pay that at POS :x

You don't want any of those cables then.

You need the dongle with the DAC built it http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MD823 ... r?fnode=45

or a bluetooth adapter like what I've got

I got one of those for £15 from ASDA.

So, the first customs 'bill' was for the He-Man DVD set I ordered from Amazon USA, so it should have had all the VAT paid for, but I still got hit for it. Now the new bill is for the first batch of Ts... What they all have in common is that nothing has been labelled correctly by the suppliers! If this happens with the new batch I'll fcuking fracture. This is how Skeletor felt - surrounded by idiots!

I do not think that Amazon.com adds VAT. If you bought through the amazon.co.uk site you might have a better claim.

It has any time I've ordered from it*, it even gives the total cost in pounds alongside it giving options for how you want it all displayed.

* They pass it on to HMRC according to HMRC's site.

We received your fax regarding the VAT fees you were charged for your Kindle replacement. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

That's the reply from Amazon - I didn't send a fax, and the query was about a He-Man box set  , but at least they refunded me.

What might have swung it was me suggesting I might have to return the item ;)

The rubber feet have came off both my laptop and my battery charger today. I wouldn't care, but in the last few months just about everything I own is crumbling (none of it's old) :(

And what they've actually did is refund me in dollars as opposed to pounds, so I'm currently down a fiver... It really hasn't been my day long story short :x

I've probably ranted already, but why the hell are people still making websites that are unusable on mobile? I don't mean clunky or messy, I mean totally unusable...
