Apart from the privacy issues my main concern right now is that it is a fist magnet.

All I want it for is heads up sat nav in the car.
There's every chance car manufacturers will beat them to it.

Perhaps the device will come to be seen as uncool if we use its more obvious industrial applications.

Say for instance when we release sex offenders from prison and want to make sure they aren't hanging around outside schools. Somebody might mandate that they aren't allowed out of the house without these glasses that tell us where they are and what they are looking at. Few people I would voluntarily wear the same thing.

Good but not good enough. I want a moving birds eye map like you get on most sat-navs now.

I though Big D mentioned that BMW and other german car makers already had them in another thread.

The previous generation of the 5 Series introduced a HUD system, that was back in 2005? Not sure how the navigation is integrated.

I don't want internet connected devices. My computer and phone are enough - to be honest, I wish I didn't have to carry a smartphone around with me.

I use my iPhone as a personal hotspot for the iPad. Though I do not see the need for Google Glass just yet. I think that the personal limits of connectivity have been reached. The same could apply to an iWatch/Pebble?Samsung Smartwatch.
