Though before the clampdown, there were file transfer sites like Megaupload which would have been suitable though could drop box be suitable. There is a public box which he could give out the specific link just for his friend and then delete the file once copied. I have seen that BitTorrent is launching a service so that files can be synced between people.

Server space costs money. Hosting providers who provide web hosting do not want people putting large files on servers if they're not part of a website as it costs them in space, bandwidth and backups.
After-all it's not a backup service or file repository it's webhosting.

For files like that stick it in dropbox and share a link to it or use something like yousendit

Is the nexus5 being released on the 16thor something? Since getting the new Android patch last week I've notice a hidden message on my unlock screen talking about the 16th .

Just blasted a spider with the shower head - it ran into the water like it was nothing and when I tried to hit it side-on it kept getting a foothold even though there was water everywhere. I eventually blasted it down the plughole and switched the tap on for good measure letting it run. Little bugger clambered out in under a minute!

Did it the old-fashioned way then; bog roll

I leave spiders alone, they get rid of the other pests. I hate them.

I happily leave them alone, but it's an issue when it's body is near the length of a Lego figure!

Even those are left alone in my house, but if they get that big they must have moved onto eating rats by now? ;)

If its brass, then it could be part of a fireplace fender or some such decorative domestic gear.

It's starting to get nippy in the mornings. I woke up because I felt so cold at 0530. Got my extra duvet on to warm me up again.

For the last month or so I have only used a duvet cover, but like you it is getting nippy here.
