Fog lights wouldn't blind you, I can't even put them on in my car with the full beams on, only dipped

Yes they 'would' and yes they 'did'. I could see perfectly fine in the light fog until Close Encounters of The Third Kind came over the hill.

How? Fog lights are aimed low and wide, they don't illuminate much. Full beams would blind you due to the angle The spread from fog lights are too wide to be blinding coming over a hill unless you were rreaching the crest at the same time. Some new cars have the fog lights built into the DRLs so can't be turned on/off. They are also optional for an MOT so could just be covered up to not get them tested.

The fog lights as well just added to the "ooh I get to turn everything on" [LIFTED] oncoming vehicles, and regardless of whether I can actually see perfectly fine, there was some mist back there, so I get to put on any light I [LIFTED] well want.

Missed the full beam part there. Yeah that wouldn't do anyone any favours

I find rear fog lights to be more of a problem than that fronts. They are bright enough to remain a nuisance.
Full beams in fogs is just pointless - you just reflect more light back to you.

Agreed. People who have their rear fog lights on when it isn't even slightly misty piss me off.

So after explaining to my line manager that my doctor gave me a month off for a reason , he's still trotting out the BS answers with regards to everyone moving desks to sit by their line manager... 'Why didn't 'X' move then?' 'There were reasons.' i.e. the guy would have thrown an absolute wobbly. That's before I pointed out that a girl was returning today who wouldn't be able to sit by her line manager, showing even further how silly that made the entire scheme. The place is utterly miserable and my line manager had sent out an email when I was first off saying he knew morale was low; when I brought up that people had texted me about the mood, he got grumpy and wanted names! As if... And now I'm sending in another sickness self-certificate and waiting on a few outcomes. All because they thought they'd get away with fobbing me off.

I'm in work and I get around to picking up one of the calls that has been passed to me by day shift. Create a distribution list in Active Dictory/Microsoft Exchange and add about 180 users to it. The list was kindly created for my the person that passed me the call, so I just added the users that required adding and moved on to the next call.
Create a Distribution List in Active Dictory/Microsoft Exchange and add about 2,000 users to it. This time no list had been created and 2,000 users! *sigh*

Decide to play some CoD on PS3. Mandatory update to 1.15 or something. Error downloading it. Decide to download iOS7 for my 4S (having skipped iOS6). Error downloading. WTF is going on?

You\'ve got one big bunch of people downloading iOS 7 and another big bunch of people trying to download digital copies of GTAV. Between the two of them I suspect they're hogging the internets a bit.

Plus you need to download iTunes 11.1 to load iOS 7 as well, plus I had 49 apps that needed updating as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

If your boss is trying to pressure you to go back to work then tell em to “naff off” (edited for filter) I had something like this once – I badly damaged by ankle and was off for a week as I couldn’t walk and was then having physio (after I went back to work) initially twice a week for an hour – I even arranged to have it at the end of the day – so as to take as little time off as possible. Anyway about 3 weeks into it my Boss came up and said I could not go. After calming down I wrote and then printed off a letter and asked her to sign it and put it in my formal employee folder . The letter said that she was stopping me to go to physio which was against medical advice from my doctor and that the Co would be liable for the rest of my life for any medical issues that might be caused by the lack of physio. Funnily enough she did not sign it and stopped hassling me to come back to work I have used this “sign here to make yourself liable” gambit a couple of times (once when ordered to install unauthorised software onto the Bank main servers) and each time Bosses have backed down
