Salt sachets always have too much salt. What a waste.

^^^Agree - I only ever use half a sachet at the most. I wonder if this was the norm and how much salt people normally put on their food. I tend to salt certain foods that I know will need it eg eggs.

Can you imagine if people use a whole one? That would be gross.

I go for the Lo-Salt sachets these days, and they're always WAY too full. The regular salt sachets at work are actually almost about right, believe it or not.

The packaging and distribution most certainly costs more than the salt. If anyone used two sachets, it would add to costs. Cheaper to ensure that no one needs two.

I always dump a whole one on there I don't know if you know about oceans and [LIFTED], but there's pretty much an inexhaustible amount of sodium chloride in the world, there are more precious things to worry about wasting Plus salt is only bad for you if you don't drink enough water, it's all about the relative concentrations at the end of the day.

My concern was more to do with the amount of table salt consumed. I use half a sachet max. Quite often less or nil. The portion size of the sachets haven't changed since my childhood, so somewhere, there are people who consume that amount of salt on a regular basis. We already know it is linked to hypertension.

I think he was trying to tip the boat over for those meat bags on board.
