Funnily enough, it'll also work if you plug it into your TV and play pretty much all the same games, most of them allegedly better than the Xbox will.

I can't imagine why I'd want 2 game consoles running at the same time and switching between them.

They can afford two £400+ consoles but not a half decent second tv?

Killzone Shadow Fall is a 50GB download

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/43 ... -download/

That 500Gb drive will be next to useless for PS Plus unless you're planning ahead and starting and stopping downloads so they stay in your download list, assuming that trick would still work. The download sizes for current-gen CoD maps alone...

Even if they doubled the best speed I've achieved for downloading on PSN  , I sure as fcuk wouldn't be downloading 50Gb, even chunk by chunk. I hope they have the wit to seriously drop the prices to counteract the experience - isn't it developers/publishers who actually set prices? :?

CoD's never been on PS+. In fact I'm not sure any Activision game ever has come to think of it. Anyway, the default disk is enough to last you 10 months assuming one PS+ game per month at 50GB. If you haven't finished the first game in 10 months, you probably aren't ever going to. Even assuming you actually want every game that comes on PS+ in the period.

Plus of course the hard drive is upgradeable, same as PS3.

Yeah, might it not be worth waiting to see what the experience actually is before making a decision about it?

FWIW, 50GB is obviously a shedload of data by anybody's standard. However, you have to assume XBO games are going to be in the same order of magnitude. In which case the whole 'digital future' thing is some way off.

I only mentioned CoD as an example of DLC, never mind full-on games. I've seen patches you people wouldn't believe... ;)

Personally, I go back to games all the time, same way I grab a book I bought years ago but never really read

Actually, talking of PS+, you have to wonder how long it'll be before it achieves the sort of content you get now :|

I meant the experience overall; The RRP for the games is already laughable (it won't last of course), so asking even something similar online and spending hours downloading it (I wonder will you still need double the size of the download in free space) would not be cool. Even with petrol costs it's currently cheaper to go to a store for many, and quicker too! You even get to own the game in a more literal sense ;)
