Only in films. In reality silencers/suppressors don't do much for the absolute noise level of firing a gun (see an example here), they change the noise characteristics to make it harder to identify which direction gunfire is coming from. If you combine them with sub-sonic ammunition they do get a fair bit quieter but they still make a fair noise. And subsonic ammo is quite hard to get hold of in general.
