Having had two computers fail (mobos blown) within two days of each other made it a PITA when setting up the replacement machines (no HDD so had to swap them from the carcasses), I'm a little fed up.
I've now got some of the drivers for the laser printers and label printers on USB. I've also got an excel sheet of computer names, spec and IP addresses as well as their locations and data socket numbers.
Just looking at what else would be useful for someone who has to manage networked computers?
Standard PCs all with identical spec (E.g. Dell OptiPlex) standard image and provisioning software. That or thin clients (diskless terminals) and Windows Terminal Server or Citrix XenApp/ Xen Desktop.
