First rule of complaints desk, understand and agree with the complaint.
Then tell the customer that you can't do anything to correct it.

I keep hearing people ask "when is it going to start getting better?".
It isn't going to get any better. Ever. It may start to stop getting worse at some point, but the absolute best you can realistically hope for is the status quo.
Only when people finally grasp that will they begin to realise how much of a sh!t state this nation is in.

I agree the weekly meetings need to be done at a different/better time. I understand why a couple of staff wouldn't be able to make it in for 0800 meetings because they're still in bed getting their beauty sleep. Okay I'll accept midday meetings even though it means I'll have to do visits after and means I'll stay for longer than I currently do.
But what I don't understand is why you've decided to make changes on the fly, rather than wait until the timetable is done for the next month. It would have caused fewer problems.

Was gonna post this in the Fail thread but because it wound me up, it goes here.
I live on a main road (B-road but inner city). The block I live on has sma side roads either side, both leading to an A-road that runs parallel. Those small side roads are often flanked by parked cars so typically only one car can travel down it. I'm parked up outside the house, ready to swing out and reverse the car into my garage. I see a coach coming and decide t let it pass. It then indicates left but starts swinging right. A little puzzled, I watch it then hook turn into the sde road. Already i know it's gonna have problems but quickly the driver realises he's not gonna make it down so he has to reverse back into the main road again. Meanwhile there's a huge queue of traffic behind it which is preventing me from parking. Just as the congestion is about to die down, another coach appears. Same company. This time the driver doesn't hook right but otherwise does the same as the previous driver. Only he struggles to reverse out, causing more problems. All in al, I had to sit there for a good 5-6 mins until I could park the car (something which takes 5-10 secs if done right).
What surprised me was the first coach driver didn't contact the second one, otherwise more problems could have been avoided.

I maybe need to stop watching The Walking Dead - it's giving me visions of taking out my own resident zombies.
If my dad isn't making a totally unnecessary racket (we're talking making a cup of tea here, that he'll then burn his mouth with), it's my mother shuffling into a room for the third time in as many minutes.
I'm thinking I might have to put myself down if that's the future, again, back to The Walking Dead...

What happens next Sunday morning? Anyone? No? I'll tell you, the clocks go back an hour.
Guess who is working that Saturday night/Sunday morning? Anyone? No? I'll tell you, ME. I'm stuck in work for thirteen hours for that particular shift!
God damn it!

This is the first time in years I won't be doing a thirteen hour night shift when the clocks go back.

I remember working that shift in hospital once. I wrote BST next to all the times before the changeover and GMT afterwards.

Yeah, dad, switch the router off because nobody else could possibly be using it. Oh, and never mind that I'm the one that actually pays for it.
Anyone know at what stage a son can claim diminished responsibility and cave a dumb fcuk's skull in?

I do miss the days of getting a video game going within seconds - now I read articles on my Kindle while the patches download, the game installs and I sit through unskippable logos

The Odyssey in Belfast needs to just close - that or switch off it's d!ckhead beacon.
Every time I'm down there there's a team of idiots; tonight it was placing a roadworks cone in the middle of the road. At least one of them had some grey matter and dragged it onto the footpath again.

Not content with censoring TBBT, Friends, and the Simpsons, Channel 4 have now been censoring Frasier! F**kwits.
