We are and really enjoying it - we think they have got the comedy / tension mix just right

Agreed. I was thinking it would've made a good film too. Can't wait to see the last 2 episodes :)

I'm 5 episodes into Castle - does the characterisation get any better or is it really this shallow? :?

ION, Comedy Store on Netflix FTW!

Hmm, not a fan of Castle. It has funny moments but after a couple episodes you've pretty much seen it all.

Yeah, that's the impression I'm getting. I also vaguely remember a clip from a later episode that 'felt' the same as what I've seen so far, so I guess that's the end of that...

Tried Burn Notice? I enjoy it anyway

Lee Mack. A couple of good jokes but the rest of it was [LIFTED].

I've a mate that really likes it and says that I should start watching it.
I have still got the first five seasons of Burn Notice to catch up on.
I've seen the first season, but it was so long ago that I'll need to re-watch it, just like I have done recently with True Blood, and like I'll be doing with Dexter once I've finished True Blood.

So much TV, so very little time to watch it all.

Mark

EDIT - I also have S3 of Suits to catch-up with.

Last night was a bad night for comedy - 8 out of ten cats, QI, HIGNFY, Stand-up for the week... all laugh-free, really :(

Charlie Brooker is to host a new two-hour documentary celebrating the history of video games.

The show, entitled How Video Games Changed The World, will be broadcast on Channel 4 at the end of November as part of a themed night dedicated to video games.

Was Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. not on this week?

No, it wasn't. I was slightly puzzled by its absence until the wife reminded me that they announced that it would be back in two weeks time at the end of last week's episode.

Cheers for that.

I really want that show to get better, it has a lot of potential but it just feels shallow somehow.
