I bought a remote control for the PS3 too. It works via bluetooth, as does the Sony stereo wireless headset I have. Neither will be supported by the PS4 and I suspect there's an underlying reason eg change in bluetooth tech or maybe just making money).

I'm guessing the latter.

I've actually found remotes less instinctive than the pad down the years cos I used them so infrequently. The upcoming app that lets you use a phone or tablet for typing and so on should get the attention it deserves from Sony - they could make a real go not just of the social bollocks, but the browser, multimedia (they seem determined to balls that up with sheer greed)...

I saw a remote for the Xbox One today (not MS official mind) but then thought won't I be flailing my arms around like a mad man trying to control the thing with Kinect?

Buy PS4, get two free trials and a PSN store credit, but only in US and Canada

http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/co ... it-1197972

You'd hope that would appear here too, but Sony Europe... I wonder will the 30 day PSN option be applied to existing accounts as a gesture of good will.

The last time I tried the music service it had the worst user interface I'd ever seen.

The fact that M$ blocked that guy's console is just frickin ridiculous. The first day patch is just ridiculous for both consoles. It would have been better had they timed it a few weeks later for release to boost xmas sales.

They are clearly concerned that the network was being used by terrorists, though that might have been imposed on them by various governments. Though it does make me glad that I do not use any game network for chatting.

There's a weird love in going on on Twitter at the mo - XBox executives are being very nice to Sony about their launch and Sony execs in return are wishing Xbox good luck for next week. You get the slight impression they're both standing there with smiles on their faces hiding daggers behind their back.

Spose it is the hardcore who would have replied; I know few people who get excited about exclusives myself :|
