It makes the Family Guy look like fine art. It is utter dross

I loved Ted. It was awesome. It started to get a bit crap and then Flash gordon turns up!

I didn't even make it that far - I've possibly seen far too much Family Guy though.

The Castle - I remember people raving about this at the time. I got half an hour into it and hadn't laughed once so I switched it off

GRAVITY
GO
SEE
IT
(in 3D on the biggest screen you can find)
Pure cinema. And it really does 3D the kind of justice it deserves. I know we debate this a lot, but this really is one for those of you who never go to the cinema. Totally worth it. But more than that, the 3D is the best it's ever been. For me <controversial statement for a variety of reasons>the 3D is as good as, if not better than Avatar</controversial statement for a variety of reasons>.

"Tell him he's dreaming." "That's going straight to the pool room." An absolute classic, but I may have been biased by living in the Antipodes for eight years.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I quite like Aussie humour as it goes, but I just wasn't seeing anything to laugh at. Chopper was funnier

I love Aussie films, Priscilla Queen of the desert is great as is Hercules Returns, the Dish is good along with Muriel's Wedding.

Ender's Game
It killed a couple of hours but, other than some cool CGI, it was pretty medicore.

Jack Reacher - full disclosure, I've never read the books and I've had a couple of Captain Morgan's with Fanta. So you can blame this mini review on the Fanta if you want... I thought this was a half-decent thriller. I know people thought it was crap, but I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a good thriller, so it must have been ok at least. And that's more than you dare to hope for now... It does suffer from the now normal Cruise cockiness, shirt off BS, but it's watchable. It just could have done with building the character of Reacher up more. Mind you, it's really obvious that this is a Hollywood origin movie, and those are rarely done well even with comic book heroes who scream out for that, so...

I watched it before I read the books. In fact it was on here that i learnt about the books so I looked up his character on wikipedia. I think it was an okay stab. It was probably one of the best stories in the series. I don't think the car chase was necessary. He doesn't come across as awesome in the film as he does in the books, and I'd have oreferred a more violent ending. IIRC this was a 15, where it really needed to be an 18.

Reacher needed more character motivation, some of it felt more like copy and paste Bourne than a character who has actually been fleshed out for the screenwriter beforehand!
