Hey folks,

I'm in a bit of a bind and am hoping one of you can help me. Does anyone have an XP disc I can have/borrow (I'll send it back)?

I've bought my younger sister a better PC (she's upgrading from a 1.25GHz Athlon PC to a 2.8 GHz P4) so that she can get more enjoyment out of the Sims (of all things). Anyhoo, this PC has an XP COA and serial key, but no disc. I no longer have any XP discs as I chucked them when I moved to Cardiff for Uni. (since I'm on Vista).

So long story short, does anyone have a disc I can pinch, if only temporarily?

I have one.

It's XP incl SP1. You're sister will have to have the serial key to match the SP1 release for it to work (IIRC).

You can try it if you want.

It's not a laptop, and no, the HDD has been "securely" wiped.

For some strange reason I thought I saw the word laptop in the O.P... My mistake

Legally, it's a gra area. There's not much difference in borrowing a CD from a friend, or "borrowing" a CD from a "Friend". It's the licence that you pay for, and he has that.

You might want to check out the "Curious" thread in TMP as that is getting quite interesting.
