Melanie Sykes, the television presenter, has been arrested and handed a caution for common assault after attacking her husband.
The 43-year-old is understood to have had a row with Jack Cockings, 27, which escalated on Tuesday night.
Mr Cockings, a roofer who married Sykes in May after developing a relationship with her on Twitter, is believed to have called police.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 9.45pm on Tuesday 26 November to a residential address in Hampstead following reports of an assault.
“A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of common assault and taken to a north London police station.
