Best episode yet.

So do you think the reference actually means anything in the context of the series or is it there simply to get Whedon fans' attention?

It made me smile when I realised why it was familiar.
Big hint as to Coulson's actual rehabilitation maybe?
I can't see how he'd tie the two universes together, but a nice reference, and like I say, could be a big clue as to why Phil's been feeling different of late.

Two episodes of character building (and rebuilding) in The Walking Dead now, totally ignoring the established characters in favour of a new group... Wish they'd get to wherever they're going with this a bit quicker.

There's going to be a Walking Dead spinoff, one where they are less constrained by the comic than they currently are.
At the moment they are kind of hemmed in with stories about the cop's ambivalence regarding his loss of human decency, and the governor's more determined embrace of the same.

A new story with a more nuanced central character than either of those (maybe a former chemistry teacher) would probably be in order.

TV thread seems as good as a place as any: Professionals star Lewis Collins dies

From the BBC:

Quote:
The Professionals star Lewis Collins has died aged 67, his agent has said. The actor, who played Bodie in the cult 1970s TV series, alongside Martin Shaw, died in Los Angeles after a five-year struggle with cancer. The Professionals was based around the adventures of a fictional crime fighting unit called CI5.

The ITV show became huge hit in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Collins's other notable roles included SAS captain Peter Skellen in 1982's Who Dares Wins.

RIP

It is a shame that his career was not as prolific as Martin Shaws.

Anybody here caught Crossing Lines? It could go either way, so far the plots are more like something from an airport novel :|

I think Charlie Brooker's look at video games is on Four at 9pm tonight, he chats to Dara and Wossy, should be a good laugh.

Hrmph. I was hoping for something vaguely interesting, not a brain-dead attempt to validate something by saying "Look, celebrities do this too, so it can't be ALL bad!"

I guess we'll have to see.
