Few would have any problem with that realistically, but it won't be long until someone with a genuine grievance finds themselves on the sharp end for daring to ask awkward questions

The problem is that would it work? If someone has become radicalised they might not accept normal societal constraints. So they simply might not work.

Depends what and how you present it, and to whom. Over here quite a few people were 'turned' when the security services threatened to tell their wives about their girlfriends, or their fellow scumbags that they were as gay as a window. It's also a fantastic opportunity for a honeypot operation if you know what they're into.

In the case of gay people in the past it was used as a reason to get rid of them because they were deemed to be a security risk. Though if there is a gay tolerant society it would make them no more of a risk than anyone else.

Tolerant society or not, I think very few wives and girlfriends would be fine with it.

Al Qaida is also known for frowning on a number of enjoyable hobbies.
