Never saw the fuss myself, I mean the camera angles alone...

Agreed, never a fan. Plus the people who used to make Crash have gone on to much bigger and better things, IMO.

Don't care who owns it. Won't be buying it if it comes back.

Sony suspends voucher redeems as PSN falters following EU PS4 launch

http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/co ... ch-1203907

Will there ever be a time when companies are structurally prepared for a big launch? Is that actually possible when it comes to servers and what have you? Or would it require them spending, you know, some money? :|

Either way, Sony would really need to get their sh1t together and actually spend some of that PSN money on PSN

They had an almost identical launch (roughly same number of units sold day one) in the US two weeks ago. They would have had a ton of data on how that went and some time to ramp up capacity if they thought it was necessary. They really didn't have much excuse.

They might actually prefer it as it gives the perception of huge sales, which might stimulate demand. Though the simple reason is that to upgrade the service would cost too much in the short time between discovering the US sales and trying to prepare for the EU launch.

In what you might call peak online gaming time as well. Sony's EU's network people really are a bunch of gibbering idiots.

With a global company it will be a peak period somewhere.

PSN is geographically segmented. The US and Far East segments aren't going off the air, as far as I know.

In which case they have no excuse. I would have thought that late morning during the week would have been quietest.

DMC's good but you might as well YouTube the final boss battle cos you won't have the patience to fight him as needed.
