Anyone else seen Thor II yet?

I loved it. Better in every way than the original and nice to see London taking centre stage.
Thor > Thor II.
I'm looking forward to seeing The Winter Soldier.

Might you elucidate...?

I've enjoyed all the IM movies, but 3 was the weakest for me.

Weaker than 2?! Wowser.

So is anybody excited for Cap 2, or are you all bored of Marvel?

I'm really hopeful for Cap 2. The first wasn't amazing but had an old-skool vibe to it and set the character up nicely, which is as much as you can ask these days. I'm mostly hopeful for what the character and his villains can bring both to the film and the wider Marvel universe. The book it's based on's very cool.

I'm a bit concerned by RDJ's contract (he's not doing this forever no matter how much they offer) since he currently affects so much of the world they're building. He's the linchpin of the team and you have to wonder who steps up eventually - Cap? - so far it's all going along the lines of the comics from about five years ago. That's no bad thing so long as they don't go down the route of the Avengers facing off against each other

I'd love for Ant-Man to be like the original Iron Man film ie an action comedy of sorts. I hope to fcuk it's not just a bridge film like IM2 - I can't begin to imagine where they're taking Ant-Man short of him being the team's tech-wizard once Downey Junior goes.

I've got so little interest in Doctor Strange and Black Panther at the moment, the proposed 'phase 3' characters. Even Ant-Man has played a more notable role in the comics, and their characters just aren't that interesting.

Speaking of interesting, the misfits angle of Guardians of the Galaxy could be brilliant :D . I like that there's the scope for 'fun' with the Marvel films, something IM2 forgot.

Hunger Games 2.

Was essentially forced to watch this as it was li'l sister's b'day and she wanted to watch this. I've never watched the first though know enough to get the gist of it.

I suspect the first film was made as a standalone film, unlike this one which clearly felt like the first part of a two-parter. There was no big finale. I don't know how many characters were in the first one but some of ones that seemed new weren't adequately fleshed out to care for them. The pacing was way of. It was 2.5 hrs long and I felt it could easily have been well under 2 hrs. No idea if the first one was as long.

I was massively underwhelmed and this was due to a combination of: crap day, crap food, foul mood, lack of interest in the film, and not viewing the first. I won't bother watching the original.

I suspect if you loved the first, you'll be interested in the story side of this film. Otherwise give it a miss. Matrix 2 had at least cool fight scenes.

Which, by coincidence, is what most of the audience were doing during Iron Man 3.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

Ok, Mark, I could have but I chose not to! :etc:

Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes United - Even for what I'm assuming is a kids film this is awful. My nephew wouldn't even watch this.

Shadow Dancer - Incredibly dumb movie about a female IRA informer. For instance, if your face was all over the national news for a bombing, would you go back to your own house in a bright red coat? In Belfast of all places?

Looked it up on imdb. Just the movie poster/DVD cover is enough to make sure I'd never watch this. At first glance it looked like a Danny Dyer movie.

Dyer would have been an improvement from what I watched of it. Thankfully I'm not paying for it, Sky app on the PS3.

ION, Contraband. Not bad until it got to the halfway point, then it just got stupendously dumb so I gave up. I might find a good film yet tonight...
