Typical. I've been getting false positives from the leak detectors all week. Today, when there really was an oil leak, they didn't work.

Step forward Southern Electric (SSE).
They send me an e-mail saying they are about to send me an estimated bill so please send in a meter reading to get an accurate one.
So I take my meter readings and log onto the website and submit my readings only to be told that they can't update my account with the new readings but someone will have a look at them and get back to me if there are any problems. I will be interested to see if they've actually bothered to take the new readings into account or not.

Saw something retweeted earlier. Kim whatserface (the one from the US who despite being utterly untalented and uninteresting seems to have cameras following her everywhere) tweeted a high quality photo of her new credit card, followed by a tweet saying 'wow, the new card security number is the same as my birthday'.
Needless to say, she has since managed to order quite a few (as in dozens) of products online she didn't remember needing and her credit card has now been cancelled.
