Gadgets rely too heavily on irreplaceable rare metals, warn scientists
Y'know, I never really considered the complex make-up of todays modern electronics like this before.

I linked to this ages ago ;)
This bit in particular made me laugh: "His girlfriend told me that when she started dating him, her friends got together and told her, 'We didn't know you were into gingers,'" Knights says. "And her friends were saying, 'Aren't you afraid you're going to have a ginger baby?'"

I don't understand what that thing about ginger babies is. I was a ginger baby and I think I turned out alright :D

My nephew's a redhead, women love him even though he takes after his uncle

Also have a woman in work who really wanted a redhead kid, and I know any number of women who dye their hair red.

It's certainly a thing that differs between the sexes. There are cliches about redheads but most of the ones I've heard about red-headed women weren't near as derogatory as the ones applied to red-headed men. Plus there are definitely blokes who find redheads more attractive because of it, but I've never heard a woman say she found red-headed men more attractive because of that.

Was she a redhead herself? Because picking a father just to get the "right" baby sounds a bit worrying.

Red-haired women have the reputation of being feisty and erm, more "fun", which red haired men don't have.
