The first race!
First time I tried to get online, last week or so ago, the connection crapped out before I'd even got in the car - but last night the connection seemed to work and I got to do the first race, but then I got booted from the session when I idle'd too long (manually posting my world record on every forum and social media site I'm a part of like a particularly sad case) - then I couldn't reconnect.
Looking on Social Club, it doesn't look like the servers have stayed up - or at least that's what the "leaderboards" seem to show (people with very few stats ranking very high) - and it's not like I even had a particularly good run - with at least one spin-out - I reckon I could have gone a lot faster (I've been doing a lot of aimless speed-bombing around the place up till now - so have had quite a bit of practice!) - but regardless of how short a time the record sticks (it's still there on my page) I'm still pretty self-impressed.
