So less "cooking" and more "reheating" then?

What it really required was a team from the UN... Seriously, you could have robbed a bank with that thing.

Amazon - sort out your fcuking Kindle updates! One of my 'collections' has just been renamed with a 'document' title for absolutely no reason and I can't fix it no matter what I try. Random sh1t like this has been happening ever since they started going nuts with the updates

Uninstalled and reinstalled it? Had a ton of apps break last time I upgraded the base version and it was down to API differences and redownloading the apps worked in most cases

Looked on various Forums - its a known bug and we will have to wait for a proper fix

Just sent this to my boss. Hilarity ensued.

I wrote:
Paul,

I might as well warn you that there’s a rant coming. It’s not your fault but my fury is both imminent and immanent. So I apologise now for my impending lack of tact. Sorry.

I have slipped into the seventh circle of Advantage DLL Hell.

This installation so-called process is absolute bollocks and the documentation is somewhere between total wank and non-existent.

And what REALLY gets my dander up is that this is not a new problem. The installation is impossible and *every* installation requires a programmer to do it. The programmers are wonderful and helpful but that’s not the point. I suggested what should be an easy change 16 months ago and it’s still utterly spastic. Nothing has changed.

Before I do *any* more upgrades, moves or installations, I want a place on a server where I can get either all the files I need or an installer to do it. This is not too much to ask. I shouldn’t have to use an installer that was built by Noah and then, (using chants, charms and incantations), upgrade half of what it shat out because it’s too sodding old.

Oh and it shouldn’t unreasonable to have a full end-to-end process printed out and given to everyone. Because if we can’t even install our own sodding software without requiring an old priest, a young priest and a senior sodding programmer, what’s the sodding point of even sodding carrying on?

I mean, I’m a clever bastard and I’m sodding baffled – how’s a sodding bog-standard recruit supposed to sodding get on?

<Insert generic hyper-rage here>

Kind regards,

Jim

Aaaaah - that's better :)

I have taken to using the words duck, ducking and ducker, as a form of self censorship.

Example: That ducking ducker is a ducking idiot and he should go and duck himself.

Always gets a laugh whilst making the point.

;)

Weasel!

What a cowardly, two-faced, spineless f***ing weasel! - "no, it's all fine and signed off, these will be processed for payment before the weekend"

Then, after the little [LIFTED] f**ks off, I get an email from his office, querying a list of invoices as long as my arm with a value of upwards of £250k!

Just wait until I see that little tw@t on Monday!
