Ok, so I might be hooked on Lego Technic again. Lol!

I'm thinking if getting this...

It looks awesome and will provide many parts that I could use to create my own models.

I have one of the very first Technical Lego sets - and it was a mobile crane. I was in awe of the thing. It had cogs, gears, and did stuff that normal Lego never did. I remember saving up for the set which gave me the ability to make proper steering and it also came with a universal joint and the kit to make a differential gear. That first crane seems very simple compared to modern Technic sets, yet I seem to remember it took me the best kart of a day to assemble it.

Apparently the set I linked can take up to 10 hours to assemble. Lol!

Looks pretty basic now, but back in 1978 it was the most complicated Lego set I had ever seen.

I'd no idea it went back that far. Must Wiki it later...

Those are the kind of sets we used to use in school. I remember this motor and big battery pack too:

That’s a set I wanted, but never managed to get. It was quite expensive.

£1.50 when you spend £30+ on V-power from Shell.

From the V-Power collection I've got the F1 car and the 458 Italia. £1.50 is good but then it costs me over £6 more to fill up! Strangely the last time cost me over 8 quid more and I'm convinced the pump wasn't calibrated or working properly - unless I somehow fit 50l of fuel in a 53l fuel tank that wasn't even on the red :?

Given that I've always used V-power with my current car (except on the two occasions when I was in the middle of the sticks, no idea where I was and needed fuel), it's not much of an issue with me.

Is there a specific reason you use V-Power?

Car is designed to run on 98+RON preferentially. Less hp and worse economy on 95-RON.

The nearest garages are Shell and so always use V-power.
