Go stand in your server room :D It should be cooler ;)

The air con in ours is broken, and people wonder why the machines are only on for a few minutes at a time....

Nice and cool in the office, despite having 4 PCs and 2 set top boxes running around me

Prof, I have found a few that work, but you have to ritually apply it and get used to it, it's a faff on tbh, I just shower often and use deoderant as I'd sweat from some part of my body or another....may as well just cover it up than stop it ;)

This is why us girls are armed with deoderant in our bags. One day you'll thank us for carrying everything except the kitchen sink.

Maybe I should carry a purse with me!

And the sink....

Probably best to go in the server room by yourself in that case.

Mark

:? Why?

I'm guessing that the original reason was nothing to do with sweat marks... ;) :P

I was sat on the tube today with sweat dripping off my nose. I couldn't help but laugh at the advert opposite me which said "Now might be a good time to remind you about Sure antiperspirant".

Thing is, that's actually what I use. Sure super-power stick for Men. It's brilliant, but I only use it under my arms. It's my head that sweats mostly, and it's not practical to spray / rub / roll on antiperspirant in your hair.

I've considered wearing a sweat band, but they look terrible and very quickly become filthy stinky grungy things. I already looked a bit scruffy wearing my string vest, baggy cut-offs and flip-flops.

It's a real problem at the moment. I was in a posh fashion place working in such a position that my sweat was variously dripping on the keyboards, the girls, the monitors and the live server I had the lid off. Salty water + motherboard + volts = Bang. It bugged me they had aircon in the lobby but not in the office - it must have been almost 40 in there! I was mopping my brow with a hanky, but you could tell the girls were totally grossed out every time my sweat splashed onto them or their stuff.

WTF are you supposed to do? There should be a law against working indoors in this weather without aircon :(

You, me and the rest of the population

We are not geared up for this sort of heat mentally, physically or air-conditioning wise. 8-)
