In some respects proud. It is an engineering marvel in its own way. Exceptionally robust and it was developed during the cold war. While it has been used for wars it also makes duck hunting in the US more fun! ;)

He was quoted as saying he had no problem with his creation being used by soldiers, but he was dismayed whenever he heard it being used by criminals or such and was utterly dismayed when he saw footage of child soldiers carrying AK-47's.
