You'd really need to like the statue or whatever - I wouldn't go above £30 myself. The game will be down to £20 or even less soon. It's not horrendous, it's just that it seems lazy.

Well it was on sale for £50 and I had £20 in Amazon vouchers so I went ahead and bought it for £30.

Not even worth a look in. I'm starting to regret buying it, though I guess the collectors thing wasn't too bad at £30 with vouchers but I doubt I'd have bought it if it wasn't already on sale on Amazon's Black Friday.

It can be your Xmas game Seriously, it's not awful, it's just a continuation rather than anything really new. It's almost certainly the last one I'll buy at full price though if they think they can get away with yearly updates and pathetic DLC that probably distracted from the original production

Well I've just started playing this today. Actually stuck the disc in yesterday but had to wait for updates, DLC and game install so didn't bother playing yesterday.
I've only just started the earliest missions (find the penguin) but am already bored. There's nothing new here. Nothing to make me feel gripped or interested. Given that it's meant to be an "origins" game, I'm surprised there isn't an origin story so far. I would have loved a storyline where Bruce travels the world and you have to complete little missions as a test of his skills.

The story gets better as you get further in, but it's a bit fractured the way City was. There's Bruce Wayne DLC where he's being trained by the League IIRC, but it's basically Fight Club and I don't know if/when it's released.

Okay so I've played it a bit more. I don't know if they've just lifted things from Arkham City but it plays a bit more clunky and less refined than City. The storyline hasn't really improved much yet, although it was interesting to meet the Penguin compared to what he was like in City.

Argh!!! Just encountered Deathstroke and he is a complete PITA. The most I've managed to do is get his health down to 25%. It isn't always obvious when to just counter.

Finally managed to beat Deathstroke. It was a case of attack and then avoid counterattack. Quite cool. I've been going around destroying network jammers but how important is it to get the data packs? Can they be left until the end?

IIRC you get enough of them and you can break the jammers and fast travel to districts, depends how much Bat-zipping annoys you really. I left everything until the end. It's not even worth doing all the Riddler mini challenges, you don't get so much as a cutscene.

The grapnel accelerator just isn't very powerful and I've struggled to get from location to location which I didn't have in Arkham City.
EDIT: I also had a glitch when fighting Deathstroke in that I suddenly lost all sound when I'd paused to the main menu at the start of the fight. Has anyone else had this?
