1st gen MacBook cooler?

Hi all,

My Mac isn't coping well with the heat, it's really quite warm

Are there ant stands (which can sit on my lap) which would distribute the heat a bit better? Or are there any companies that make an metal bottom for the MacBooks so I could replace the base and get better heat dissipation?
I used to use ice blocks with a few sheets of paper between them and the Mac to soak any water, but I'm taking them to bed at the moment to keep myself cool
