I'm staggered fuel costs are that low. Seriously, if I buy a train ticket to get into work, the fuel cost for that journey is 20p per person? In fact, to be honest, I don't trust those numbers very much at all.

Update - I think the impartiality of the Rail Delivery Group may be open to question.

The figures in that are much more in line with what I would have expected TBH.

I was talking more about portions of spend rather than absolute figures.

I suspect that even the sums that the Train operators could muster is dwarfed by the sums created by central banks over the last few years.
