For what it's worth, both the wife and I thought that Sherlock was more than worth the wait.

Thinking about it, I wonder if this is the reason that Doctor Who hasn't been as good as I'd like of late. Maybe somebody has been spending too much time writing these stories and not enough time working on the time traveller...

I certainly did. The Guardian's already doing a mini poll though wondering if the writers have lost it now :|

It's a great show with wonderful actors but apparently they've pretty much given up on the notion that it should have any relation at all to Conan Doyle's works. That's fine, it's their show, but maybe they should consider changing the name.

But they said the show paints residents as anti-social benefit scroungers, irresponsible parents, drug-takers and foul-mouthed wasters.

I have noticed that about shows on Channel 4 recently.

In other cloud-based news, Sony has revealed that it has rebranded Gaikai - which it snapped up back in 2012 - as Playstation Now, which will offer PS One, Two and Three games through selected Sony smartphones, tablets and TVs.

So that is a failboat launch then?

It'll fall over on it's first day at least.

I was thinking that it seriously relies on a very small segment of hardware market to run on. It will struggle to compete with Netflix Hulu and Lovefilm. Amazons Lovefilm does at least run on iOS and other Android devices rather than just Kindles.
