Bizarrely (and I have no idea why I know this) there are media relations firms who 'train' the stars they work with to assume certain poses when paparazzi are taking photos of them. They're supposed to accentuate the figure while hiding possible imperfections. I suspect she's been caught facing the wrong way and has tried to do what she's been told to do and it's all gone a bit wrong.

The women certainly all seem to go for the same pose. The Beeb's Alice Baxter always wiggles her hips slightly and then throws one leg out  (only relevant photo I could find, she's totally hot)

God it's like they're trained in presenting to camera or something!
Outrageous!

It's more that they're trained to stand in a way that is actually un-natural. It often makes them look stiff and uncomfortable (probably because it is uncomfortable). It's like Robert Peston's weird speech rhythm. It's nothing like a way a normal person speaks, or indeed the way he speaks when he's not being interviewed about the economy but it's the way he's decided he has to speak when he's doing his job. It's just.. a bit weird.

People in a TV studio setting acting 'natural', looks weird.
Get a camera, and a couple of friends. Ask them to sit on chairs next to each other and have a look through the camera.
90% of the time, they'll look like they're sat far too far apart. Which is why, on things like the One Show, the hosts are practically sat on each others laps.
Of course it's weird, it's not reality.

I know that Nick Robinson was once told to do something that would make him stand out on screen, hence the glasses. I have no idea what Peston was told to do, but his speech patter seems totally unnatural. I expect there is various amounts of advice on how to stand out on screen being imparted to various presenters.

Not so much a celebrity but his character in Revolution is pretty mean. I would though.

Ooh, 1970s jump-suits are making a comeback? 70s hair-dos as well, by the look of it.

How the hell can Pippa Middleton be considered a celebrity? Her sister married a member of the royal family. It's not like she's actually done anything note worthy, is it?
