Having found out that a large-ish chunk of the company is at risk, I've just had a phone call.

It was the Operations Manager thanking me for my last six months of effort, that I deserve my holiday for stepping forward every time he had an emergency, and that he was ordering me to start on the holiday beers.

One doesn't like to disappoint...

...

One of the bosses from the US is visiting this week. He sometimes hands out treats. This morning it was my turn and he gave me a Kindle Fire HD.

Win.

Nice. Excluding the odd t-shirt, it's been years since I had a freebie from work.

Thanks to those stupid 500 errors the forum's been giving out today.
I have to use my mod powers to delete a lot of double (even tripple) posts recently.

Mended my pillar drill with replacement drive belt.
Ordered trestles and shelves for the workshop.
Got replacement parts for a kit I'm building from a friend who didn't need them.

Apart from the central heating being fubar, I count that as winning.

I noticed a few of those. Though hoped that bobb could have deleted them if I did not respond. It happened to me, but I managed to delete one.

I'm already arranging for a friend to fly to NY and be there the same time as me. If you wish to fly over too I can let you know the dates and which hotel we'll be staying at *shrugs*
