Okay, so I've been thinking of some questions that I might get asked tommorow. If they asked: "If I were to ask your friend how they would describe you, what would they tell me?" This is a difficult one for me to answer, if I don't know what people think of me. Now I'm aware that you havn't all known me for a long time, but any input would be useful... Everyone has flaws, so if you can point those out too that would be great. Don't worry I won't 'crucify' you!

Another one that might raise it's ugly head: What achievements are you most proud of? I'd say you're quick tempered, but equally as fast to realise others points of view. Hard to say, really, based on what little I know about you!

I think that's right about me actually.
I say what I think first, but then always take other peoples opiions onboard.

In a manager that can be perceived to be indecisive though. Better to seek opinions then make decision rather than it look like you cannot make a decision at all.

If you make a decision lets call it "A" then people argue against it and you change your mind and go with decision "B" then that can be seen as a weakness, being indecisive. Where as, seeking opinions first then making a decision once you have the relevant information is seen as good management practice and a strength. You made the point that "you say what you think first, but would take on board others input." That's like my first example. Hope that's clearer.

Oh right, I see.
No, in an argument, I always voice my opinions, if other people have diffrent opinions, what I meant was, that I'm not afraid to listen to others.
This would mean that if I am say for instance marketing a new product. I'll look around and see what I think is good, then ask for others input. I'd then put it all together, and the final decision would be my decision, even if others didn't like it.
You can't please everyone.
One thing I can say for myself though is that I stick to my guns always.

That's good LOL no but the art of management is getting everybody to think you are pleasing them all the time. Think Custer's last stand. Sticking to your guns to a sensible point is great but not to the death. ( know when to concede defeat gracefully.)

I think you'd be better of asking that question to two or three friends, who have known you personally for a few years, get them to write it down so you can compare and study.
I think it’s very difficult for people who only know you through forums to grasp a true characterization of your personality.

You can get a fairly good idea of what they're going to ask you from the job description. They'll ask you to provide evidence to demostrate that you have the required skills to carry out the position. For example, take the "A good standard of oral and written communication" bif from the experience section. They may ask you if you've any published reports/papers and how may presentations you've given and to whom. If you have examples prepared you can reply without pause which demonstrates (a) you have the skills and (b) you've thought about how your skills match their requirements.
So, the best thing to do is go through the job description and jot down examples of where your experience matches their requirements - if you have more than one example, jot them all down, then try and rank them in terms of how good they make you appear.
They'll probably spring the usually "what is your proudest achievement and why" and other similar ones to get an idea of what values you have, but other than that they'll probably follow a fixed set of questions that they ask all the candidates, then throw some more based on your responses to the earlier ones.
The most important thing is they've seen something in your CV that's perked their interest. If you get a chance early on to ask them what it is, you can make a play on that particular aspect (although don't go overboard or they'll think you lack depth).
Do you know any of the people in the "chain of command" (i.e. above and below in the pecking order). They can sometimes give you usefull tips on why the previous job holder has gone (assuming there was one).
Anyway, enough of the boring stuff....all the best and hope you're successful.

Well. It's T-0, Moment of truth, this is it. There is strong competition for this job today, am I worried? Yes I am a little bit, but not enough to break down over it. Good competition is healthy, it'll push me harder in an interview. I'm 70% sure I won't be offered the job. But that is okay, I'm okay with it, with the competition I've got, the interviewer would be silly if they just took me on over everyone else because I was 'good in the interview'. However, that dosen't mean to say I can't try my best. I've got a small presentation with me of how I think the job should be done. CPT's, Product Innovation, Marketing High Value-Low Volume Products and vice verse, Clinical leading of the product and Sales. I've come in in my spotted dress, high heels and victory rolls! Very Rockabilly if I do say so! But yes, I think I'm as ready as I can be for this interview. Thanks for all the support guys!
