Back in those days people used to complain about Avril Lavigne, then Nickelback. It can always get worse. Rubbishness coming out of Canada can not be fathomed. I blame it on them being too nice :S

Neither of which are as annoying as some people would have you believe. Cheesy, granted...

Those were really curious times for pop music, I remember Alien Ant Farm covering Smooth Criminal and Kate Winslet making an appearance in the charts, alongside Shakira with her small and humble breasts (so you don't confuse them with mountains) and that hilarious Britney video where she sounds like a sheep saying 'me'. Mickey Rourke even turned up in an Enrique Double Glazing video.

I'm back on the 'searching through youtube for songs I remember from ages ago' trip..

Currently playing : Erase / Rewind

Next Up :

Strung Out
All I Wanna Do (her record company seem to have killed all the copies on youtube)
My Favourite Game
What I Can Do For You

Ah, that last one... It's rare you find a supposed pop song that has a heart so utterly black and nasty as that.

FatMan on BatMan 53: Marc Tyler Nobleman: The Fickle Finger of Fledermaus*
FatMan on BatMan 54: Neal Adams: Kneel Before Neal
FatMan on BatMan 55: Neal with The Deal

This podcast goes into great detail about the creation of the Batman character. I'd read that Bob Kane - who was (is) widely credited with creating Batman - took a lot of credit for stuff he didn't do, but it goes a lot further than I'd thought.

The wind roaring through the trees. It's getting more than a little blustery here!

I was listening last night to the things being blown around the courtyard.
