I have seen that my phone has notified me that there is a new update.

But apparently OS X 10.9.1 is still vulnerable. Expect an update for that quite soon, I'd imagine.

And what about earlier versions of OS X? Didn't think iOS 6 would receive security updates, I wonder whether 10.8 will get patched.

It should be as it is only a few months out of date.

You're assuming it suffers from the problem.

There's also a "Security Update 2014 001 1.0" for users of Mountain Lion 10.8 too - presumably that patches the SSL as well.

It's a pretty scary looking update mind. Normally they just reboot, run through, done. This one reboots then goes into what looks amazingly like the Mavericks setup procedure, then asks you to authenticate to iCloud (assuming you use that), then sends you to the desktop. I was pretty much convinced it had wiped my user profile at one point.

Weird - it punted me back into Safari where I left off, as I'd wandered off to make a coffee or something and left Software Update to do it's thing.
Also - when I returned, it had the Mavericks-essque installer screen running. I had Little Snitch notifications popping up all the time for various Safari processes all through out the installation, which would suggest that Safari and Little Snitch had booted in the background long before the thing had completed.

What's the problem with Apple iOS software updates and having Bluetooth on automatically once the update is installed?
It is just damned annoying.
Still, at least it doesn't turn on Background App Refresh anymore like the first iOS 7 updates did.
Slow progress is still progress, I guess.

I have one accessory that needs Bluetooth to be on my phone but I prefer it off on my iPad. It did not turn Bluetooth on the iPad. 8-)
