I get all that, but you can't just let a brother and sister carry on committing incest, for instance, without the police getting involved. Bloody hell, what does it say about the parents? Speaking of parents, the police are gonna get involved when one family reports the child of another! The police are rightly duty-bound to investigate sexual activity with or between children - I mean these loonies were arguing that a ten year old fully realises what they are doing or consenting to!

That would still not be legal anyway. Incest would be still outlawed regardless. There may be good reasons for the police to ensure that no coercion was involved, though wouldn't this just play into the hands of the Daily Fail? Though there are other factors to be concerned about such as arranged marriages especially for girls. Just because a parent is concerned that their 15 year old daughter is shagging some boy from across the tracks and if they can pressure their daughter to say she was pressured into sex then the police could end up putting some boy in a young offenders institution. It opens up a huge can of worms.

That's all exactly what happens now, my point is the NCCL believed the police shouldn't even investigate, never mind sending it to court. That's bad enough, but then they were basically saying that in some cases it would be OK for a ten year old to be having sex!

Having the police investigate them really should be a last resort. While sex between 10 year olds is not necessarily brilliant it really should not be criminalised. The real problems are when there is an age difference. Those are the cases that the police should be investigating.

So, a labour politician worked thirty years ago for an organisation that was affiliated with another organisation that was effectively a campaign group for peadophiles. That was a serious enough issue that several days continuous entire front page leads in the Daily Mail were dedicated to it. This morning, this story broke. Shall we see what the headline in tomorrow's Daily Mail is? Also, quite a coincidence he resigned the day before he was arrested, isn't it?

It's a terrible thing when an organisation has deep links to another that is very naughty.

He clearly had a warning. The Daily Mail website has it on the home news page but you it is not prominent.
