I though it was the manager who chose the captain, not the FA?
Surely he's actually accusing the individual manager at the time a racist?

Shockingly, yes he is.

Him not being captain was nothing to do with his skin colour. The international captain is a PR job, nothing more or less than that. And if it's a choice between Sol campbell (slightly whiney mercenary central defender) and David Beckham (International megastar and arguably most famous man on the planet) which are you going to choose?

Sol was never international captain material, and his skin colour had nothing to do with it.
