Ohhh gotcha. Yeah, that's barbaric. I had to listen to a guy on the office telling everyone, only last week, all about his circumcision. It didn't sound pleasant either.

It isn't pleasant, but if it needs to be done, then it is a small price to pay. I had to have it done as a teen. The relief afterwards was worth the few days oft discomfort.

But I would never force it in a child just because it is 'in'.

As for FGM, the culprits should be strung up by theirs, or what remains of theirs.

There's good medical reasons for circumcision that may not present until later life.
That said, the 'may' part is the important bit in that sentence.
And also 'later life'.
