<Rant> Tennis practise was a complete waste of time today. I played terribly and now I'm not in a terribly great mood. </very mild rant>

Got my new laptop at work today. Its a Rock. Anyone know Rock? They make kick a55 gaming laptops. So what have I got then? Quad core? SLi9800GT? 17" screen? No. You might also know that Stone Computers bought Rock when they went bust. Stone have now badged some generic piece of poo laptop with a Rock badge. Its a disgrace to the name I tell ya!

My room is full of bugs... It's the fenlands and I left my window open with the light on.
So i'm in the spare room as my room is currently full of bug-spray.
Damned single beds are so hard to sleep in!

I'm having similar problems with one of those hornet-looking things, and what looked like a bright green mantis with red eyes landed on my t-shirt today and I didn't flick it away for a good minute 'til I got a good look at it - never seen an insect like that up-close before in my life

I got a brand new Tosh laptop on Tuesday. I'm still installing updates. WTF is a brand new laptop doing with software that's over 9000 updates old?! Plus - The Mcoughy Virus slowed it down so much it was absolutely unusable. As in, you'd click on something and it might take 2 days to actually respond. It's OK now I've removed it. Plus - I just stuck an extra gig of memory in, and it doesn't recognise it all. It seems to have a 1GB limit, WTF? Both sticks work fine, but I only gain the few megs used by the GFX when I double the memory :s Plus - It gets really hot - burning hot. The fan is underneath which means you can't put it on a soft surface, like your lap. It's like a desktop, not a laptop. I had it on the dining table before, but the table clothe blocked the fan and it shut down with heat death. Plus - the volume control doesn't work. It spins around, but doesn't seem to be connected to anything. Basically - it does not make me happy. Cheap piece of crap cost twice as much as my netbook, but has half the memory and a worse screen and doesn't even work. £300 not well spent It didn't even have any cool stickers on. I'm going to have to buy my own
