Wow, what a difference. Just downloaded Tapatalk for WP8. It fits in beautifully with WP8 and feels much more polished and professional than the Android version.

Just how bad is the Android version?

Pretty bad... Well, it uses hidden menus to navigate between different views, it doesn't tell you how many new messages are waiting in each view and it is generally just more difficult to navigate.

I found the WP8 version a refreshing change, and it looks like it was written for the OS it is running on.

the IOS version works quite well but I seem to have ended up with at least five different 'tapatalk' aps in my purchased list, some of which are universal, at least one of which is iPad only (but no indication which that is), all of which are called 'Tapatalk' or 'Tapatalk HD' and no immediate way of telling which of them are still being developed (if any) and which are now effectively abandoned.

Nice apps, rubbish customer service frankly.

I'm with you there - it does look lovely.

Even if they have made one or two 'interesting' design choices

The current version (4) is very bad. Version 2 was miles better.
