Amazon are on the ball with Collect Plus - I got my refund on the same night I returned it  :?

I must confess I've been quite impressed with collect plus.

As you know, I like my stylus. I have a collection, and while none of the recent batch have matched the feel of the Newton stylus (maybe I can make a FrankenStylus), I very much have a favourite. It's my Adonit Jot Touch - it's pressure sensitive and I really like drawing with it.

So imagine my deep joy when I learned recently that Apple broke it. It seems that iOS7 does something that kills the Bluetooth styluses, so my Jot Touch suddenly stopped working as apps updated to iOS7.

So I dropped Adonit a note - most if the software vendors suggested this - and I was sent a 50% off voucher for a replacement Jot Touch 4 - which works with iOS7. It also has palm rejection, but the price (including shipping from the USofA) came it at around £45 - the cheapest I could find one this side of the Atlantic was £65.

I put this as a win as it's a result from an email enquiry that is very satisfactory.

This won't be the first time Apple has broken stuff without warning - and given I had my original Jot Touch from day 1 (it was a pre-order), I didn't feel that they had any real compulsion to offer any kind of discount on a newer model.

So, I wait 6-10 days shipping (the cheapest option - which keeps the price down) before I can start my scribbling again.

Sounds good.

I love taking notes on my tablet, the Wacom digitizer and a decent pen really make a difference. I sprang for a full sized pen for mine. Very good investment.

I wish Apple had handwriting recognition in iOS. I know Jobs didn't like it, but I feel that it's a more natural option than typing or even speaking (especially if that requires a trip to a server). Used to doodle on my Newton. Good fun.

When I had my iPad replaced in an Apple Store, I had to sign on an iPad like device with my finger. It really felt wrong.

Yeah, it makes a real difference with OneNote and writing long hand directly into Word is good fun as well.

Was there not something (once) called Ink in a version of OS X?
Was this not supposed to be some sort of handwriting recognition implementation?

My new TSB current account is live and credited.

My Co-op account is no more. I left because of their disgraceful behaviour recently

Oh and the switch guarantee thing? Makes it a piece of wee to move accounts.

Lovely

Just did the same, although I'm off somewhere else. The switch so far has gone OK, although in my case it won't be finished until Tuesday.

If we're indicative at all, it doesn't look good for the Co-Op.

Just back from seeing The Zero Theorem at the cinema.
I had to drive half-an-hour to get to a place that was still showing it, but it' seal ways worth seeing the films you really want to watch at the cinema if you can.

Well Tim, I think you have some serious explaining to do as to why there isn't a review in the Film Reviews Thread.

A cup of or are you referring to an meal most people call dinner?
