I had this crazed idea that Microsoft could insist that any cross platform releases must be the same resolution. But that would be silly, wouldn’t it?

It would also be most likely illegal. MS can't legally restrict what 3rd parties can do on other platforms. They can pay a 3rd party for exclusivity, but they can't insist on the arrangements between two third parties meeting their requirements.

I kind of liked it when I first started it up, but now it’s annoying me - dimming it would be a good idea. I still like the whole diffused shape it gives you, but it needs moderation.

Oh - the light bar on the controller. I thought they meant the one on the ice of the console. Yes, certainly dimming the controller ones would be good. I’ve not got a camera for mine, so the need is rather lost. Using it for feedback to the player (as in Killzone) seems pointless as it’s not easily in plain sight when you’re using it.

For the sake of a couple of quid you can have something less annoying (apparently), pre-cut and with a design to your likening
