It's a Scottish thing - Wikipedia entry: Not the same as white pudding. Goes very nicely with a cooked breakfast IMHO.

Y'know, I've had breakfast in Scotland many, many times but I've never seen or been offered that. Learn something new everyday!

It's a must if we have a cooked breakfast when I'm visiting the parents.

I like the classic english breakfast but without the beans or black pudding
Also a BLT on a toasted ciabatta is rather lovely

If somebody else cooks and cleans, then any cooked breakfast would be pretty close to perfect.
Now it's alright to make a list, but to have exactly the same thing again and agin would be pretty offputting even if only a couple of times per year. What's wrong with a little variety?

Grilled sausages (thick, good quality butcher's ones) Grilled bacon (soft, not crispy, with the fat cut off) Scrambled eggs. (ham and onion omelette is also acceptable in lieu of scrambled eggs.) Hash browns (lots of and must not be greasy) Baked beans (not too much) Thick cut white bread with lightly salted butter.
Pot of English Breakfast tea.
Sainsbury's cafe come close with their big breakfast sandwich. You can buy the hash browns as an extra and add them to it.
