I used to have a micra, though mine was a 1994 model. No bad at all. It had a 1.3 rather than 1.0 litre engine, so it was quite nippy. I never realised how heavy the steering was at the time, but once I'd been in a car with power steering, the micra felt like a tank.

Cheers man. She's hooked up with a mutual friend from work. So that's fun.

Been there. quite recently in fact. It's a headtwister at first but it's just something you've got to chalk up to experience and move on.

Is it worth getting a 10 year fixed deal to see out the remainder of my mortgage? The % repayment would be a little less to what I pay now so a gain there, and I would reduce the term by 1 year for an extra 25 pounds per month over what I pay now, and that's including arrangement fees. Seems a better option than hanging around on a variable rate or bouncing between 2-3 year options and associated fees over the next decade.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

We are on a fixed 10 year term, after which we have to renegotiate. Given the rate was relatively low , it was a good gamble. When I bought my first house the rates were around 17-18% and variable , by the end of the second year it had dropped to below 6%, so I was glad it was variable.

I'm trying to sort out which Mac-compatable printer to buy in the £80 to £120 price bracket. I don't mind if its a standalone or an all-in-one but Epson, Canon, HP, etc make so many damn models. I'm getting bogged down with the endless reviews on Amazon, too.

I just had a look at the Cannon MG7150 as my printer gave up its life printing the wife's dissertation. Not committed to it or anything else yet. IIRC it has a grey ink for better B&W prints and different blacks, one for photos and one for documents.
My current printer has light magenta and light cyan which this does not though do I don't know how colour prints would compare.

It looks like the updated version of my MG6250. I have a grey and separate black cartridges as well as CYM. Photos come out well. I've printed out photos on A4 photo paper. Colour-matching and profile is an issue with all photoprinters but I've not yet bothered with calibrating mine at the moment. Does take a little longer with documents than my old trusty HP DJ870CXi which was stupidly fast (and faster than its replacement, the 940c).

We have an Epson Workforce WF-3520 DWF. Very happy with it so far, network capable, print, scan, fax. Works fine with Windows and Mac.

Epson here, Canon do nice cameras but I'd happily set fire to their printers...

I bought that model back in January, very pleased with it. Although it does a lot of "dicking about" (technical term) when you first switch it on, the quality is excellent. Scans with Mac OS X's Image Capture. If you want to print onto CD/DVDs you have to install their bloatware Image Garden software which takes up best part of 1Gb. Overall, though, I'd recommend it. Got mine at PC World for around £120.
