The same for Hannibal. Completely different ending that totally ruined the film.

The Outsider - a film from 1980, seemingly never released on DVD*. Which is a shame, because for a film starring a Yank who comes over to Ulster, it's a bloody decent film. It looks to have been shot on location here in the 70s and is very realistic (right down to the situations and weapons used). The only minor thing you could fault it for is some of the dialogue comes out of nowhere on occasion, but then Ulster's a bit like that anyway * I watched it on Netflix. It's so obscure it even had the wrong 'cover', showing a western of some description.

The second one, though that poster or whatever is terrible lol. The only good film I've ever seen Dillon in was Wild Things.

Bill Crosby - Not Finished Yet Old-skool humour which I personally like, might not be for everyone. It's not for C_W, what with his marriage intentions

I really liked The Big Town when it came out. Might be worth a look.

Bill Cosby, by the looks of things. Thin it's called Far from Finished. Caught the first 30 mins on youtube. Was watching it at midnight and lolled away in the dark. It's so amazing how you can be funny without having to resort to profanity.

Looper - It's got a good central premise, but ffs, sort out the lens flare! It's in damn near every scene! On top of that, JGL mumbles his way through it, presumably doing a Bruce Willis impression. Makes the crapper dialogue and editing even more painful. I can't believe the reviews this film got; I can only assume people are in love with the premise rather than the execution (no pun intended). Like with The Butterfly Effect being something of a cult film ... Wrong Side of Town - I knew it starred two wrestlers, but I didn't know the director was one also. This is the cheapest film I've seen in a long time. Remember the cheap films Five used to show when they first started broadcasting? It's worse than that, we're talking 'direct to YouTube' here.

I challenge anyone to find a film that's more overrated by IMDB than this one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1392214/?ref_=nm_knf_i2edit: ok, ok, I found one, but there can't be that many: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167404/?ref_=chttp_tt_158

Why on earth do you care what the public opinion is?

Because perhaps you can start a conversation about it and discuss films in general.

I immediately though of The Tree of Life but have found that it's not rated that well on IMDB. It turns out critics slather over it much more than the public.

The Tree of Life doesn't pass my benchmark, I've never liked a film that has got less than 7.00 on IMDB, and so I use this as a guage as to whether i should bother watching the film, if it's above 8.0 and (I'll admit) not in a foreign language, I have to watch it. These are my rules, and it is why I watched Prisoners, which was [LIFTED].
