Correction:
74% of gamers would prefer physical copies until they remember that you have to have an internet connection to install 95% of those anyway, and then decided that Steam wasn't so bad after all.

Gotta say, if I had to download entire games I wouldn't even own a console.

If priced fairly I prefer digital. All my PC games are on steam and not having to arse around with discs on the XBO (with quick app switching, etc) I really like.

I have a crappy 3-meg connection. That's about the best I'm gonna get. No virgin BB round here yet. If wanted a game via Steam, I'd have to purchase it then wait until night time before downloading it and hoping it's there. That means I wouldn't be able to play it until 24 hours after purchase. Or I could just go into a shop, buy it and play it as soon as I got home.

Um, you can usually buy before release and preload the game on Steam, then you activate it on launch day. So you could, in theory, play it sooner on Steam than you could if you had to go out to purchase a disc.

Didn't know that but most of my games are spur-of-the-moment purchases.

If you have a physical copy, you have at least something to trade in as part payment for another game.
